On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max talks with Kristy West, founder of BraveSpace and current improviser. Kristy got into performing improv almost two decades ago with Whole World Theatre in Atlanta, GA. From there, she continued studying and performing until she came to a big realization: that the skills she was learning in her improv class were transferrable to her job in Sales and Corporate Training. From there, she blended the improv and business worlds together to create BraveSpace, a business that goes into corporations to offer "live learning programs and creative business solutions for teams and individuals using the methodology of improvisation." On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max interviews Ibanez Downtain, an improviser and main stage performer at the Village Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. Ibanez began his improv career with he was just 13 taking classes at Whole World Theatre in Atlanta. From there, he began to get involved at the Village Theatre, which is his current home for improv. On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max interviews Ted Alexandro, a stand-up comedian, co-creator of the web series "Teacher's Lounge," and opener for Jim Gaffigan on the "Fixer Upper Tour." Ted's comedy has been met with critical acclaim, with the New York Times calling him "one of the funniest comedians working today." He has gotten the opportunity to appear on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Conan O'Brien, and also has performed all over the world at venues like Madison Square Garden and the Sydney Opera House. Ted is also the co-creator (along with Hollis James) of the web series "Teacher's Lounge," a show where he stars as a school music teacher and that features a brand new comedian each episode. Currently, he is on tour all over the United States and the world with Jim Gaffigan for the "Fixer Upper Tour." Ted also has a brand new special out called "Senior Class of Earth." On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max speaks with Freddy Boyd, an improviser, actor, and writer based in Atlanta, GA. Freddy got started doing improv with Georgia Tech's improv troupe "Let's Try This!" From there, his interest in performing and his times doing it increased. Today, Freddy performs all over Atlanta, from Highwire Comedy Company to the Village Theatre. He is a member of the General Company for Dad's Garage Theatre Company where you can see him almost every weekend performing improv and sometimes can even catch him acting in one of their scripted shows! Be sure to check out some of the shows at these three theatres to get a chance to see Freddy perform live!
Also, he was named "Best with Legos" as his Pre-K superlative. So he's a pretty big deal.

On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max chats with Plug Chapman, a stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and even former rapper. Plug started his performance career as a rapper. His career in the music industry brought him to Los Angeles where he discovered his knack for stand-up. He's been doing it ever since! Over his comedy career, he has opened for comics like Jon Lovitz and Jodi Miller and has performed at clubs like The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and the Laughing Skull Comedy Club. In addition to that, he has performed on Kevin Hart's Hart of the City and was a finalist in the Black Film Festival's Comedy Wings Competition. On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max interviews Jeff Murdoch, a mainstage player at The Second City and co-founder of the comedy duo "Seriously Unprepared." Jeff is an improv performer, actor, and writer currently based out of Chicago, Illinois. He has performed at many different theatres in the city including iO, the Annoyance, and Upstairs Gallery. In addition to performing at theatres in Chicago, he has performed improv through Second City on multiple cruise ships and was a member of the Second City National Touring Company. Today, Jeff is currently a mainstage performer for The Second City. He is also a member of the comedy duo "Seriously Unprepared," which have written and performed sketches and television pilots that have been met with critical acclaim from organizations like the New York Television Festival. For many years, he was a pastor at a church in California. When he realized that wasn't for him, he looked to other avenues and eventually found stand-up! He is the founder of and currently hosts Chatterbox Comedy Nights at Chatterbox, a bar in Covina, California. On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max interviews Amy Miller, an LA-based stand-up comedian who has appeared in shows and festivals all over the United States and is the co-host of her very own podcast, "Who's Your God?" Amy didn't get into stand-up until she was thirty-years-old, with her first performance coming at an open mic at a laundromat. From there, her career exploded. Amy has appeared as a semi-finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," Viceland's "Flophouse," "Doug Loves Movies," and NPR's "Marketplace," and has performed her comedy at many festivals such as the San Francisco Sketchfest and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Ken began his career in the performing industry as a professionally trained actor. From there, he worked with the Denver Center Theatre Company, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and the On-Edge stunt team. Ken has also been a writer for the scripts of multiple video games. He started performing improv with BATS Improv in San Francisco and never left. Ken went from student to company member, to teacher, to eventually his current role as Artistic Director! On this episode of Talking Late Night, Max talks with Matt Elwell, Executive Director of CSz Worldwide and an improv teacher and performer. Matt got involved with comedy (after years of performing theatre) when he watched his first improv show in Chicago. Since then, Matt has been a performer with multiple improv theatres and shows including ComedySportz, Second City, iO, and Dave & Co. In addition to performing, Matt has taught at Dave & Co., ComedySportz Chicago, and was also an Associate Faculty Member of the Second City Training Center in Chicago. Today, Matt is the Executive Director of CSz Worldwide (the company that operates ComedySportz Shows) and is also a corporate speaker and trainer who, using improv, has worked with many companies all over the United States.
